Our mission

Empathy. Respect. Education

We are a small animal protection non-profit organization from Mehedinti county. Our mission is to build a better world , a civilized society in which animals are treated with empathy and respect.

We help abandoned and abused dogs and cats, we rehabilitate them and find responsible forever families where they will learn what love means.

We inform about the importance of spaying and neutering pets in preventing abandonment by supporting free campaigns.

Through our projects and activities, we want to improve the standard of life for both animals and our community.

Our projects

Although we are a small NGO, supported by only a few volunteers, we have big ambitions. Below you can see some of our on-going projects for which we need your help as our activity is sustained exclusively through donations.

The Refuge

Due to the increased numbers of abandoned animals, as well as the critical cases we encounter daily, we need to move to a bigger facility to enable us to provide the highest standards of care and rehabilitation for our dogs and cats.

The costs for building the fence, the enclosures and the well were over 10.000 euro. We continue the work on the paddocks, the quarantine area and the rehabilitation and exercise area. Any donation, no matter how small, will help us greatly to finalize the constructions.

Spay/neuter campaigns

Although we want to help every fur-baby we meet, we are realistic about the possibility of achieving such a task.

The only way to break the vicious cycle of abandonment and suffering is spaying and neutering. A spayed/neutered dog will mean less abandoned pups on the side of roads, in the woods, out in the fields.

Adopt

Regardless of "taste", Lumea celor care nu cuvanta NGO has something for everyone: dogs, cats, juniors, adults, all longing for a kind pet and a bit of love.
We love all the furries in our care and try to give a bit of attention to each one of them, but the animal shelter is not home. Each doggo and kitty deserves a family to call their own.

On our adoption page you can see our dogs and cats available for adoption. All our residents available for adoption are spayed/neutered, have their vaccines up to date, are microchipped, have a health card and will only be adopted out with a signed contract.
